The Quechee Ski Team is a member-driven organization, which requires a commitment by parents to help run ski team events and other club activities like the Quechee Cup, banquet and fundraising.
Committees
We have a number of opportunities for you to help the team both on and off the ski hill. Learn more about these committees here.
Help with weekend training for U10, U12 and U14 teams
Throughout the season, we have timed training runs and need help with timing (this requires additional training, and if you're interested please reach out to Anne), course maintenance, setting up and taking down safety fencing, and other help. This will be coordinated through the individual team parent reps and the volunteer lead.
Camps and races
Running safe and enjoyable events requires many volunteers to maintain a safe race course and organize hundreds of racers. Parents are expected to contribute their time to organize and run these races. The volunteer jobs include gate judging, awards, race registration, course maintenance during races, course set up and clean up, timing, photographing racers, and other functions that the club needs to perform. You will likely volunteer to work at an event where your child is not racing. Learn about volunteer positions here.
